Training in General American, Elevated American (Trans-Atlantic), and RP (Standard British) with a quick ear for New York, Boston, Southern, Cockney, London, and other American/English dialects, as well as (not quite accurate) comic Latina and ambiguous Eastern European character voices.

My Voice Experience

Experience mostly with onstage acting and onstage or recorded singing. CD recorded with Dreamcatcher Studios (CT) as member of a capella singing group Pitches in Treble, summer of 2005. Enjoys long walks on the beach, strawberry daquiris, and creating new, exciting, comedic character voices and dialects. Always possessed of a secret wish to be the voice behind a cartoon character, with the dream of becoming the speaking and singing voice of the next Disney princess.

My Training

Voice and acting training with the Boston Conservatory; voice training includes singing training with Bill Cotten and vocal, diction, and dialect training with Jen Burke and Karen Kopryanski. Fluent in IPA.

Extensive experience in musical theater: Performed at the Boston Conservatory as ensemble in 2006 Iolanthe and Louisa in 2006 The Fantasticks; Marion in Glastonbury, CT's 2005 The Music Man; Bless the Lord in Glastonbury's 2004 Godspell; Irene in Glastonbury's 2003 Footloose; Rafiki in Glastonbury's 2003 Celebration of The Lion King; ensemble in Glastonbury's 2004 Once On This Island, 2003 Damn Yankees, 2002 Les Miserables. Assistant Director for Glastonbury's 2005 Much Ado About Nothing; Musical Director for Glastonbury's 2005 Robin Hood Meets Cinderella and 2004 Destination Imagination.

Additional Skills

With thirteen years of Suzuki training in violin, my ear is quite quick. While I do not have extensive recording experience, I have spent the last few years learning how to use my voice as an actor as well as a singer; this training, combined with exceptional listening and correctional skills and perfectionist mentality, leads me to believe that voiceover work and voice acting is a reasonable career choice. As mentioned above, I also love imitating other accents, creating different character voices, learning new dialects--and it is my most-cherished wish to be the voice of the next singing Disney princess. Whether or not this dream comes true, I know I have the training, ability, and willpower to make it in the voice over world, and am willing to take any work that comes my way.
