Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Generally, my accent it typically British; easy to understand with good pronunciation. I can, however, use my skills to become a number of regional personalities from around the UK. My Liverpool, Newcastle and Birmingham accents are good, and my London (grimy) accent is also very good.

From around the world, I can impersonate the following: American (L.A., N.Y., Florida), Australian (I am often mistaken for an Australian National). I can also impersonate the German accent (but mainly for comic effect), as well as the French accent.

My Voice Experience

I have only done voice over work since I have lived in Istanbul. The first job was one line in an commercial (I forget which one!), but the client and the studio seemed t like my voice.

I have gone on to do work on Turkish Movies (Son Osmanlı, to name one, where I was the voice of the British Army Commander), and also a long informercial for a large Turkish company called (coming soon!), with the same recording studio.

I have also done a voice over for an infomercial for a large hotel complex based in Bodrum, Southern Turkey, called the Garden of Babylon, for another recording company, who also complimented me on my tone and voice skills.

My Training

Educated in England to College degree - in Computer Engineering and Web design.

Currently teaching English (hence the perfect pronunciation!) in Istanbul.

In school I partook in many theatrical events and enjoy singing on a regular basis (in a band in the UK but only Karaoke here in Turkey!)

My Studio Equipment

I have none as such, although I have a kick-ass computer!

Additional Skills

I am a fun person. What I mean by that is that I can turn my talents to any number of things and enjoy my work very much. I can be serious when needed and also comical when required.

Having been a teacher for 4 years, I know about speaking to non-responsive groups! I also know a lot about making yourself understood, but in description and in pronunciation. I feel that my teaching experience has only made MY English better and therefore my abilities.
