Voice Description

For business presentations, my voice is clear, commanding and professionally corporate-sounding. It can vary from mid-range to deep, depending on the content.

My narrative voice is mid-range, friendly and conversational, with clean enunciation.

For commercials, I can use a fun, funny or all-out goofy voice.

I can also develop crazy voices for animation and cartoons. These can range from very high-pitched to very low-voiced characters.

In all vocal styles, I use the appropriate vocal inflections in order to draw the listener in and create an instant understanding of intent.

While English is my first language, I can speak some Dutch and perform many Germanic accents/dialects that call for a gutteral sound or rolling "Rs". Other accents include New Yorker, "country/hillbilly" and "hispanic".

My Voice Experience

I am a professional voice actor, singer, musician and producer and have been in the entertainment industry for over 25 years.

I have professional computer based, non-linear recording equipment and several high quality microphones and pre-amps to chose from. I can deliver a professional high quality project for most applications in any format desired.

I have recorded for radio, internet, animation and television. I have also sung commercial jingles and have recorded on-hold music, messages and prompts for telephony and corporate business systems.

My voice can morph to accommodate a myriad of situations. I like to use the term "voice actor" for this very reason. I have the ability to interpret copy professionally and deliver high quality completed projects in any format.

My Training

Most of my training comes from working/real world experience. I constantly imitate those around me in song and vocal accents.

I have been a working musician since I was about 17 years old and started doing voice over work about 8 years ago. A friend asked me to record some dialog for a children's internet site and after that, the work just kept coming. People who knew me from my music shows would ask me to do voice over projects here and there, until I finally got the hint that it was a natural profession for me.

For the past year, I have been actively training in the profession, attending workshops, reading industry books and developing my vocal chords with exercises.
