Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I usually never use an accent unless it's meant to be funny. I've done a pretty good impersonation of Sharon Osbourne on a tag for a music store! Halloween witches and ghouls are a specialty as well.

My Voice Experience

I don't have a lot of voiceover experience OUTSIDE of in-house production with the radio station. I am, however, the voice of NISSAN of Bakersfield, Ca.

Through the years I've done hundreds of commercial spots for local and national clients. Just to name a few-- Blockbuster, Universal Home Entertainment, Cricket Comm., Mattress Firm, Simon Malls, Dillard's, and Coca Cola.

My Training

I have a bachelor's degree in communications and broadcasting but my training has purely been picked up through working in radio. I have almost 9 years experience in 3 different formats. Mostly I've worked in ROCK radio..so I have to sound pretty edgy, but I also did mornings on an adult contemporary, "soccar mom" station, and middays on a country format.
I know how to go from a wild party girl to a sweet, innocent, informative, "at work listening" personality.

These days one must wear MANY hats to survive in radio, and that's why I've also learned how to fully produce commercials and promos.

My Studio Equipment

I have worked with a 360 and Vox Pro for on-air calls, but for ALL my production and voicework, I use Adobe Audition 1.5 and 3.0. The mics I use are top of the line-- AKG's. My headphones are good 'ol SONY MDR-7506's. Besides soundproofing and awesome music beds (I have access to a full library), what more do you need for solid, great sounding production? :)
