Voice Description

I'm the girl next door--hip, energetic, fun-loving and ready for action. Playful and quirky on one side with a "don't mess with me" voice of authority on the other side. I am a practical joker and have pulled pranks on many a friend with my tickle trunk of characters.

My repertoire is vast and includes a scattered Bronx gal (think of Audrey from Little Shop of Horrors---who I once played on stage); a middle aged South African lady who is as over the top as Dame Edna; a surfer / valley girl; an evil sleeping mole, high priestess, servant girl, hyper monkey and a variety of farm animals all of which I once voiced for an adventure video game. I am originally from the Canadian Maritimes and can project a good eastern accent that for those who aren't familiar with it, can be compared to Frances McDormand's character in Fargo. I have voices I'm discovering every day---in fact I recently added an old man to my repertoire and scared myself because it sounded so real.

I love animation but I also really enjoy the variety of projects on which I've worked which include documentaries like Canada's War In Color for CBC, Rome for Discovery HD, and a variety of corporate communications, commercials and on-air promotions. No matter what the script entails, the challenge and fun for me is bringing the listener into the copy.

When I am not working my butt off as a producer on some of the coolest productions, you'll find me either doing something crazy athletic, salsa dancing, reading or researching my next great adventure.

From initial development to production and post-production I have worked in many areas of this business. It's great because my experience allows me to leverage skills that can help make your project that much stronger. I love to do character voices and on-camera work...and when I'm not performing I can always be found doing anything sporty.
