My Voice Experience

Simon has recorded for BBC Radio 4 in programmes such as 'The Archive Hour' and 'The Drovers Return'; for TV and radio commercials in France and the Middle East, as well as in the UK; for AudioLearn, the biography of Charles Darwin; for corporate presentations and in-house training programmes. In 2006, he was shortlisted for the prestigious Times/Naxos Poetry Voice-of-the-Year Competition.

My Training

Simon has been involved in more than fifty theatrical productions, as well as giving regular readings and public presentations. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in English from Cambridge University, where he was actively involved in all aspects of theatre. Having himself directed many radio commercials as well as corporate presentations and public readings, he has first-hand experience of both sides of the voice-production process.

Additional Skills

Simon's early background in retail management, followed by ten years' experience at director level in international advertising, make him ideally suited to understanding clients' marketing requirements. In addition to his voice work, Simon taught English and Drama for more than twenty years, which naturally creates a heightened appreciation of the written and spoken word.
