Voice Description

My voice is professional and soothing; I have done numerous radio commercials for the insurance industry and home improvement. I have a deeper voice which is warm and inviting which has been described as a Karen Carpenter style. As a professional speaker and trainer I learned to be a "cameleon" and displayed humor, excitment, passion, whenever necessary as part of the content and presentation.

My Voice Experience

I have been involved in singing for the better part of 15 years. I was the lead singer in a band aproximatley 10 years ago; we produced a CD that included popular music genre in alternative/covers/christian music. We did a few small events around town. I was also a regular on stage with my church worship team band; I performed as part of the group and did solos regularly. I have led worship bands. I did numerous radio spots over 2 years for my insurance business; the format was spontaneous and converstaional in order to bring important points home to the listeners. It was a question and answer format, on the spot type of setting. It worked really well and I found that it was easy to articulate my message without rehearsing a script. I have also done numerous radio commercials for my husband's home improvement business over the past 3 years. The company also produced an educational CD that was used as a marketing tool. I was the primary voice and person on camera. The radio staff and engineers encouraged me to do voice work professionally.

My Training

My experience is a result of on the job training! I have done my own radio spots, and singing for the past 15 years. I have been in a recording studio many times. I have extensive experience in front of an audience speaking; I have written and conducted my own sales training seminar designed for sales professionals in a number of different business environments. I have taught many self improvement classes to both men and women through my church. The marketing CD that I did for our home improvement company was distributed to prospects. All of the radio spots were written and performed by me so, I understand the passion and professionalism required to offer a quality product to the listener.
