Voice Description

My voice is consistent in delivery...always friendly and very feminine. The opposite of my voice would be harsh. I can sound quite velvety and sexy, but also can sound trustworthy and motherly. Always soothing, always professional. I have worked to eliminate accents as much as possible from my speech, but could do a southern accent pretty easily. My singing voice is consistent with my speaking voice--soothing, sexy, feminine. I have worked extensively as a singer, as well as a vocal coach for children.

My Voice Experience

Recently a news anchor/Director for a group of radio stations, awarded New Mexico Broadcasters Association "Newscasts of the Year" as well as "Newscaster of the Year" for 2006. I've done extensive voice over work for radio and TV commercials. Recorded full phone system. Write/sing jingles. Hosted a radio morning show and later appeared daily on the largest area (Eastern NM) morning show as the "female perspective." Directed a performance children's choir and gave voice lessons for kids. Lead vocal and background vocal work for Johnny Mulhair Recording Studio.

My Training

Experience, time, and extensive work in radio doing many types of voice overs has taught me. Also the comraderie of other talented people teaches me ways to build my skills. Constant repetition (doing morning and afternoon news every weekday) is also refining. Produced my news (with Cool Edit Pro), and much can be learned through that. I sing professionally as well (produced a CD of original Christian songs in 1997), and have taught children voice lessons and performance techniques...many times learning through teaching!

Additional Skills

I'm especially good with people (i.e. being an emcee for events, meeting with local leaders, etc). I believe my friendly nature carries over to my vocal performance. I'm also conscientious with the English language and pronunciation and delivery. I have a very unique and recognizable voice that is also soothing and pleasant to listen to.
