Voice Description

Warm and deep for narrations, upbeat and fun for commercials/ads, motherlike/nurturing for kids books/advertisements, raspy and throaty for maipulation to do guy voices, smooth/calming for presentations, light/open/playful for character voice over work.

I can speak spanish, different dialects of spanish, hindi/indian, I can replicate the voice of the Fran Dresser/ any New Yorker/ the guys from the Budlight commercials that says- "How you doin/", Aboo from the Simpsons, Whitley Gilbert from A Different World, Southern Belle, Elmo, English/British Dialects, Sebastian from the little Mermaid, Napolean, Kip,Pedro, the buff guy from Napolean Dynomite, Red Neck White guy, Uptight White lady, grandmother/elderly lady's voice (comical and dramatic), chinese/asian lady speaking english, Urban black girl, valley girl, daffy duck, speedy gonzales, sylvester the cat,Irish and Scottish guys, Jamaican/African and if I can hear a voice for a substanial amount of time, I can replicate it linguistically/dialectically.

I can do a small dog voiceover, monkey voiceovers, different little sounds like sirens and what not.

I sing from middle tenor to low soprano, and I can manipulate my voice to do just about anything. I just need to be allowed a little creativity.

My Voice Experience

I recently recorded a voice over as a little girl in a narrative of a book entitled Through the Cracks, for Creating Pride.

Other people ask me to use my voices on their voicemails/voice recordings. I change my voicemail/phone greeting just about every week, and people call just to hear it, not talk to me.

I have used my voice in plays as a voice over, and I also changed my voice for different parts, monolouges.

I use my voice to make people laugh-It's my medicine and my first love!

My Training

Voices came naturally to me when I began reading in elementary school. I would read the characters in different voices to differentiate between them all.

I began singing when I was 3 and had a voice teacher who noticed my ability to change the range of my voice based on what I heard. She worked with me to perfect that range and the intensity of my voice, to give it a distictive "presence".

I almost have perfect pitch. I've been in music vocally and instumentally for the past 17 yrs.

I mimic different voices and sometimes create my own. My acting professor my Freshman year in College saw potential in my "having fun" and made me learn a few tricks on manipulating my voice to do voiceover work, as well as acting while on and off camera in voice acting. I took acting classes for film/television/and theater for 5yrs.

I have some experience in dialectic work-tuning my ear to hear different dialects and replicating them back for voice acting purposes.

I Graduated from Georgia State University with a B.A. in Film/Television and a minor in Theater/Spanish. I am skilled to work on and off screen, but I have a passion for voice over work and television screenwriting.

I know and have worked with a lot of production software-Final Cut Pro 3 and 4, avid etc., as well as worked with sound production software.

I have worked on different CD's for student projects, and individual aspiring artist as a lead and back up vocalists.

My dream job is to work as a character for the rest of my wittle old life-or write on a tv show, and practically get to be a kid just a little longer!

Additional Skills

Right now I work as the Assistant Producer for a growing Non-Profit in Atlanta known as Creating Pride. We work with school systems to create great staff development to ignite the creativity of teachers to integrate the arts more effectively in the classroom.

My role entails being an event planner, a event designer, a script writer, a production assistant on a telvision series we are starting with the assistance of Comcast and Turner Broadcasting/Turner Classic Movies geared towards teachers, using my voice to to reading rainbow type dvds for classroom/teacher developmemnt and to manage a production team during teacher workshops, receptions and etc. that our office coordinates.

I also am the voice that you hear on our call pilot to our offices and our voicemail greeting.

I love to watch tv and I think I'm the only 23 yr old in America that sleeps on Spongebob Squarepants sheets, eats icecream and watches Dora the Explorer for creative inspiration! I might redeem myself if I say I have to be updated because I babysitt-5yr olds need conversation too!

I love screenwriting and have written a few sample scripts and short stories. I took screenwriting in college and went to a few workshops on the subject as well.

I have prepared myself for my Oprah moment, when you go on a second time after you've made it and she shows footage of the first time you ever came on the show- then you have to pretend like you're so embarrassed even though you're so flipping excited to be on the show and you hope your psycho ex is watching so you can secretly laugh in their face and...the list goes on.

I also have my Emmy speech ready, I just need to show my face at the Oscars, but I will definitely be live and ready to roll at the Kids Choice Awards! I'm so cool!

I dibble and dabble in everything from beading to sewing, to doggie clothes design, to flower arranging. I love to cook and I live for Football! Most of all I love anything that allows me to be creative and use all of my talents and skills to do what I love doing the most- entertaining!
