My Voice Experience

I began my career as a radio station Production Manager, something that over the years brought thousands commercials and projects my way both for copy writing, editing, and recording. The vocal portion ranged from seductive voices for Valentine's Getaways, playing the part of the kids in the back seat yelling "are we there yet???," doctor's office and bank on-hold messages, informational public service announcements and storm alerts, to writing and recording a creative 60-second commercial with only the information on three items on sale for the week! When you have little to go on, creativity and enthusiasm go a long way! I hosted a mid-day request show for 5 years as well.

For years I was a regular news announcer and definitely know the importance of clear and articulate, informative speech. I have remained in the radio business for over 12 years and continue to do production and voice-over work. On my commercials, I have enjoyed doing both the soothing and warm tones, and getting to have fun with a silly and upbeat promotion. It's all in showing a genuine interest in the subject and sharing it in such a way that you automatically generate that same interest in the listener... and I do genuinely enjoy doing that!

My Training

12-years of hands-on radio production work, and lots of long hours editing in the studio! I have also been involved in local theatre, dramas and comedy improv, and as a child worked as an actress, graduating several workshops and being part of Radio Shack's Christmas commercials in 1983 and 1984. Throughout my school years, I was active in drama clubs, and speech teams as well, and at age 12 was told I needed to pursue a career in broadcasting! The rest is hands-on history!

My Studio Equipment

I do not currently have studio equipment of my own. I currently have regular access to a production studio and library, but will be relocating soon and for a time need to work with a designated studio in that area. I'll update my profile information to reflect the changes at that time.

Additional Skills

I love audio production and everything related to it! I am very picky about quality and clarity both in the original voice and in any editing done. I love the creative use of the human voice, it has limitless possibilities!
