My Voice Experience
I have done voice work off and on since 1975 when I was a radio stringer for two local stations, KSLM and KGAY in Salem, Oregon. In 1977 I took my first post-high school job as a disk jockey at KSLM,ad worked other DJ jobs for a few years thereafter.
I the late 80's I did voice work for some educational software programs, most of them by Magic Quest (defunct) of Palo Alto, CA.
More recently I have recorded audio books for librivox, including works of Shakespeare, Ben Jonson, and sections of the Koran. I recorded the phone system messages for The Workhreat Group of Newport Beach, CA, and for Henley-Putnam University in San Jose, CA.
I was also the online host for a series of audio teleconference briefings sponsored by Henley-Putnam dealing with current issues in national security, and I recently recorded the voiceover portion of a television commercial scheduled to begin running in the Washington, DC market.
Most recently I have recorded a series of short promotional tags for New Spectrum Radio (New Spectrum Foundation).
My Training
Informal training and mentoring by Terrence Fuller, KSLM, 1975-77 when I worked as a news stringer and, in 1977, a DJ/news reader.
Acting major, Ricks College, Rexburg, ID, 1977-78. Received formal voice training. Also worked at the college radio station, KRIC, where I had my own classical music program.
Coursework in film making, Brigham Young University, 1980.
Formal voice training at Western Oregon State College under instructor Ewan Mitton, 1982.
Training in voiceover with Creative Voice Development Group, Schenectady, NY, 2005.
My Studio Equipment
I do not have my own studio, or access to a studio at this time.
Additional Skills
