Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I enjoy creating eccentric characters and can use many dialects: upper class British, standard British, received speech, Cockney, Australian, South African, Southern American. North American English is my native language, but I also speak French and can narrate intelligibly in Italian and German.
My Voice Experience
I trained to be an actor and find dialects the most interesting part of creating a character--sort of a Meryl Streep approach.
Most of my voice work to date has been live narration. This started in college when I narrated the Christmas presentation for the Concert Choir. I read all of the parts for the Christmas story in character.
Since then, I have narrated many live presentations for church, often with a prerecorded music track.
My Training
MFA in Dramatic Art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
BA in French and Humanities from Stetson University.
