I started out in radio, writing and reading news updates. From there I started radio reporting feature and hard news stories--writing, voicing and producing all stories. Along with reporting and producing prerecorded stories, I co-anchored a weekly news hour at a public, non-profit radio station. The following year I anchored and produced the same live news hour solo, as well as interviewing guests live in-studio at KCSU in Fort Collins, Colorado
As well as radio voice work, I am a documentary filmmaker and have voiced several short documentary projects as well as freelance television feature news stories for CTV 11 in Fort Collins Colorado

Home studio includes Pro Tools software and digital conversion hardware interface with iMac computer, as well as various condenser microphones including large diaphragm Rode NT-A, garage band software and sound effects and music library. Home studio is also equipped with industry standard Marantz digital field recorder for out-of-studio reporting. Access to ISDN and Getner phone recording equipment at local community radio station.
Additional education includes Bachelor of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University, Ohio and Master of Science in Counseling from San Diego State University.
Especially my training and experience in Counseling, specifically interview skills contributes to excellence in on-air interviews with guests. Interviewees feel comfortable in my presence and tend to reveal more. I ask questions that result in valuable information for the listener. My personable demeanor and warm, comforting voice help guests feel at ease and encourage conversation.
