A story:
In serving the public a man who studied voice and its origin asked me where I was from. You see in serving I would tend to form round, clear and proper annunciation that confused him and he could not place the dialect. This caused me to believe I was on the track to masking the 'countrified rural' sound that could very well identify my country roots.
