I can make my voice vibrant and bubbly for children's books as well as deep and thoughtful for recording religious material.
I have done professional voice over styles as well as some requiring a more sensuous voice.
I have a basic knowledge of French and am easily able to slip into my native Oklahoma accent.
Though character voices aren't my strong point, I have a natural ability to mimic. I am currently working on a southern drawl native to Tennessee

My Voice Experience

acting in plays from grade school through college has helped me train my voice to whatever part I was given. I've done many voice overs during my years in college radio and continue to do radio voice overs for a local radio station.
my latest voice over jobs have been for a series of locally produced videos.
Volunteering to read stories for the local library children's programs keeps my voice talent fresh and keeps me practicing my voice acting as I make the children's books come alive.
Months in master control at a television network gave me many opportunities to study other voice over talent and voice actors

My Training

years of choir and band have helped me to understand phrasing and timing as well as sensing the mood and dynamics of my voice over work
I have a bachelor of arts in journalism and took several classes in college that improved my voice over skills, including radio and television announcing and speech. I am familiar with the International Phonetic Alphabet and have studied basic French in high school and college, which gives me an edge with voice over spots using foreign words.
