Voice Description

i was trained in highschool in forensics. i competed extensivly in highschool winning blue ribbons in informative speaking, persuasive speaking and extemporanious speaking. i competed in the state finals for radio announcing in highschool in 1977 at Penn State University.(didn't win1at place!) I have been a singer all of my life, singing in church choir, highschool chorus, concert choir, county & state chorus. i currently sing with several bands for fun, new orleans blues music, vanessa williams, bonnie raite, nora jones are a few of my favorites as well as some modern country, like rascall flatts, trisha yearwood. i have spoken on oncology issues for years, being a paid presenter, i have testified before congress. i know how to have an audience at hello. My Voice Experience

tell a story, i am writing a book. several weeks ago i spoke at a funeral of a cancer patient i took care of 13 years ago. mary jo died of ovarian cancer after a long battle. at her funeral i spoke about her. at her first recurrence, i asked her how whe was coping and she told me. "Each day when i put my feet on the floor, i thank God to be alive, I visualize my cancer in a pot on my viking range, i personally pick it up and move it from the front burner to the back burner and i only allow on the front burner the three things that matter to me, Faith, Family and Friends".........remarkable woman. i told mary jo's daughter that i had cross stitched several rows on her wedding sampler that her mother had made her when she got married. i know how to love and it comes out when i speak to people. i am not remarkable, i have a God given gift for which i am very grateful.....

My Studio Equipment

i have a recorder, piano, bose system, do not have a recording studio. i have a music system that i practice with at my home.
Not particularly knowledgeable about audio engineering, but have good connections. my friend Paul Kruis owns the radio station of the college of William & Mary with Bruce Hornsby. He also has the band i sing with, Tuesday Night Band.

Additional Skills

extensive knowledge about cancer, i am an oncology certified Registered Nurse. I lost my father to cancer when he was 48 years old and i have had a mission to be there when the cure is found. i have been everything from the staff nurse taking of care of cancer patients to the nurse mixing chemotherapy under the chemo hood, to the nurse making rounds at Harrisburg Hospital. I have been Urology Attending at HMC, i am currently COO at Andrews & Patel Associates, P.C. I will be there when a cure is found and if not, i will still be doing cancer care, having a great family, the beach, singing, sewing and gardening.
