My Voice Experience

Shannon's love of performing began as a young child when she started dance training which led her into a professional program at the age of 10 years old.

When injury ended her dance career, speech became her new love. Her voice acting career began at age 12 with public speaking.

She began competing in public speaking on a City level in junior high. In high school she progressed to Provincial standards and then competed at a National level in Canada, achieving 9th in Public Speaking Nationals. Oral interpretation of literature was her specialty although she also competed in debate and speech.

In her graduating year of high school, she was chosen to be the class historian. After high school, she attended broadcasting school, which led her into the news business.

She stayed in the news business a short time, but continued developing her skills as MC for martial arts events and work functions.

Most recently Shannon has been working in the on hold messaging business, writing, voicing and also engineering.
