Voice Description

I have been told on numerous occasions that my voice is very diverse.
At times it can very deep and kind of gritty but other times it can be high pitched, a true girlie-girl voice.
My voice can be very motherly sounding with that warm and calming effect but can also be concerned yet panicked.
It is clear, can be fun and lively, dark and morose or just plain weird.

ACCENTS: Standard American English, British/European accent, Southern Belle/Country, Valley Girl.

My Voice Experience

I have been on stage in numerous plays which have required accents throughout the entire production.

My experience is limited but even though nothing professional has been done in regards to voice over, most of my experience is via reading books to my children and giving those characters their own distinct voices.

My Training

During my school years, I participated in the Drama Club which of course meant being in plays. I was 'Viney' the slave maid in 'The Miracle Worker'.

I was also in a couple of plays at the local theatre guild in my hometown, Springfield, Illinois, which consisted of me being the lead character which had a Southern accent (Six) and as an extra in the second one (Eye of the Bewildered).

My Studio Equipment

I'm sorry to say that I do not have a studio nor do I have knowledge of studio engineering but I am willing to go to one nearby and/or do some studying on my own in order to hopefully learn about studio engineering.

I will say that the only thing I have is a microphone, cd's and my computer.

Additional Skills

Acting is a major passion of mine and has been for as long as I can remember.
When I was younger, I would look through magazines and read the advertisements out-loud, pretending I was doing the voice over.
I am a hard worker in regards to my passion and like many others, criticism is hard to take but I do learn from it and I'm open to any tips and help in order to make my abilities and talent better and to make myself a better person.
I would love to be able to learn how to speak in many different accents and I am also very open to being taught how to do so.
