My Training
I was took 2 terms worth of voice-over class and 1 seminar with Gloria where I learned the basics of voice-over technique in 2003. Originally, I am a singer, but would very much would love to get into the voice over industry. During the time with Gloria, I was asked to sing at The Bite Festival in Portland Oregon which is during the summer. Between 1989 to 1991, I took classes at Mt. Hood Community College where I study voice in their music program taking symphonic, vocal jazz and gospel choir throughout the couple of years I was there. I took private lessons between 1989-2005 (intermittently) with several vocal instructors: Iva Lindsay, Wilbur Funk,Valerie Day of Nu Shooz and Mark Bosnian. Valerie and Mark taught under the Blaylock method. Then I continued on with Chrissy Faith from New York. Between 2004-2005, I took Showband a.k.a. Band Workshop for a year at Portland Community College where I was taught the basics of working with a band and performing live an a venue at the end of the term.
