My Voice Experience

I've always been told I have a nice voice, and now I'm ready to put it to work.

In everything I do, I always consider myself an actor first. That means I take my work seriously, but never lose sight of the fact that this is what I love to do. My attitude is always professional, but I never sacrifice my optimism and joy for the work in the process.

I have a B.F.A. in Theatre Arts from Hofstra University, which included three years of extensive vocal coaching both in acting and singing. Voice is my strongest suit. That's where I start building my character in every role. I also completed the voice-over success workshop in Chicago in the summer of 2010, which gave me the tools to understand how my theatrical training translates through the microphone.

I am confident in my training, work ethic, and attitude. If you like my voice for your project, you can be sure I will work with you to create the voice you want.

My Training

I touched on this in the experience section, but I'll go into more detail about it here.

I have a B.F.A. in Theatre Arts from Hofstra University, where I spent three years learning about various vocal techniques to make my voice as versatile as possible to play a variety of roles. I took private singing voice lessons for all four years of college.

In the summer of 2010, I took the voice-over success workshop in Chicago, which gave me experience in front of the microphone in a professional studio. I've also attended a number of panels in which voice actors talk about their work, and what it takes to be successful in the voice-over business.

Additional Skills

Aside from my theatrical experience, I also have experience as a telemarketer. That may not sound so impressive, but I have to know how to use my voice to persuade people to donate money to a fairly complicated political issue.

In terms of the business, I completed a theatrical sound design course in college, which familiarized me with Audacity.
