5. African american ...I can speak urban and I can speak what some would call "ghetto" talking

My Voice Experience

Being culturally exposed (raised in Belize, Central America) allows me to be versatile in my art. Most of my voiceover experience was done in Belize on alot of jingles for local radio stations. I also did voiceover work for commercials and also acted in them.

2. I also sing (singing style is more caribbean rapping/chanting, hip-hop, and also calypso/soca singing) I have performed songs in Belize and Georgia (Sweet Aurburn Festival 2005) as well. That is a lot of voice work also.

4. I do work in customer service. So i get experience everytime I'm at work by changing my voice on each inbound call. It is highly belivable to the customers since I am complimented a whole lot on certain styles.

My Training

Most of my voiceover skills have been learned through acting and just simple practice. I have had training in stage work and commercials so i know how to change beats for different cases when reading or reciting. But as far as a voiceover class...well I haven't taken a class just for voiceover. But my actual studies relating to voiceover are below:

I just love to perform; acting, dancing & singing. I was born to do it. The purpose...to keep people smiling. Industry speaking, I am very easy to work with and I take creative criticism very well. I am very creative, so my own flavor is usually desired. I do get a lot of practice at work since I take alot of inbound calls. I get to change my voice a whole lot and play with it.. I am not afraid to try new things and I don't get tired of doing it over and over and over again. I believe my acting background has the most influence over my voice over skills. So I sit cocked like a gun and ready to blast anytime because I just love performing!!
