Voice Description

When I was little wee tot, people used to say, "Oh, Seri has such a rusty little voice!" I am often recognized for my voice before I am seen, people exclaiming, "Oh, I heard you coming from around the corner...I would know that voice anywhere!" My vocal quality has been described as "raspy", "textured", "arid" and one of my favorites, "salty." (Also one of my favorite seasonings)

My natural vocal delivery is smart, real and straight forward. I am articulate and able to sound professionally grounded, but I can be campy, witty, dry or over the top.

I've been told I sound like the gossipy next door neighbor yet sexy in a "been there done that" kind of way.

Also, I can have a warm, natural, calming and nurturing motherly tone.

My Training

I have a B.A in theatre from University of WI-Eau Claire and a certificate degree from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC. I lived in NYC for 12 years although I am a midwestern gal at heart.

I've been a professional actor for over 15 years; my career helped me to travel the country 4 times over on national tours, have a 3 month stint in Greece, work regionally in at least 10 different states and perform many months as a principal singer on Norwegian Cruise lines-cruising the Caribbean literally, "Singing for my Supper."

I took many years of French and can do a decent French accent.

My theatre career has called for roles depicting characters that were uptight, motherly, bitchy, tentative, sassy/brassy, aristocratic, Irish, French, Southern, crazed and/or just down right peculiar. Creating unique characters is not only easy for me, it's fun!!

I've shot commercials for Mediacom, New Mexico Department of Health/TUPAC and Kare 11 News.
