I also very much enjoy working with clients to create a character tailored to their needs, such that the audience identifies with my character and subconsciously puts themselves in my shoes.

My Voice Experience

Young, deep, resonant, mellifluous. Genius and madness, walking as one.

Time was when radio listening was an incredibly VISUAL experience. I believe it still can be.

Most of my voice work has been reporting news and traffic for the past 17 years in small, medium, and large radio markets all over the western United States. I've had to write, record, interview, edit, produce and report all my own news content since I began in this business. I'm well-versed in ad copy writing that pops, modern colloquial and idiomatic lingo that's sensical and understandable to modern youth without sounding forced, and of course in clean, complete and concise news writing which tells a compelling story in a unique way.

As far as commercial work, I was a Comcast Cable and Internet endorser for nearly three years on radio and online in San Francisco.

I'm also often asked to provide the "legalese fine print" that comes at the end of radio spots, since I have a natural ability to speak such language clearly and quickly, WITHOUT the horrendous digital acceleration that makes so many radio spots sound so awful.

My Training

In my nearly 2 decades in radio, I've worked with and learned from producers, voiceover talent, reporters, anchors, and announcers alike. I've taken something from every interaction, and

I'm also a skilled live event emcee; whether it's hosting a radio station promotion event and greeting listeners and announcing guests... interviewing VIPs on stage for an audience, or providing the announcer voice work for events such as local Oscar Night fundraisers, I'm able to focus an audience's attention and move an event forward in an exciting and entertaining way.

And it's all done live.

My college education consists of Bachelor's Degrees in psychology and philosophy. My career experience consists of 17 years in the radio industry.

In collaborating with clients, I try to not just get the vocal inflection right, I try to glean an understanding of the meaning behind the project.

If it's a presentation or tour, I work to sound friendly and knowledgeable.

If it's a commercial, I work to sound attractive and even seductive, or in character voicing, I work to create the character almost as an actor does. Whether it's a cable customer thrilled with his high speed internet service or a frustrated car owner pissed off by his muffler, I work to convey subtextual elements lending extra believability to the work.
