Voice Description

My voice is a true baritone, and I have excellent enunciation and pronunciation. I am well educated and am able to pronounce scientific, technical and specialty terminology with no errors.

My narration voice is warm, deep and reassuring, my commercial voice is informative and can be both upbeat and fun, and I am able to read for children so that they are able to grasp and enjoy the material.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Having been born in Tecate, Mexico, I have an excellent Mexican Spanish accent, in addition to my accent-free Pacific Northwest American English standard dialect.

I can perform some British accents, including Received Pronunciation and limited Cockney style.

I speak some German, and read even better, and can perform a German accent in English.

I have a Martial Arts background and have some knowledge of basic Japanese, and am developing a Japanese accent for characterization.

Mad Professor and Stuck Up Elite Snob are two of my characterizations.

Voice over experience limited thus far to the language instruction market via Bilingual Books, Inc., for whom I worked.

Previous public speaking and acting experience limited to acting in my youth and membership on the board of directors of a non-profit organization in Seattle, WA.

B.A. in History from University of Washington (Seattle).

Additional Skills

I can take direction and make relevant suggestions on scripts as needed. If a script needs a straight read without deviation, I'm on it. But if there is something missing, I can spice the script up with as many inflections or moods it needs until the right formula is hit.

I read well to children and adults, I have a wide range of knowledge and interests, and I'm interested in projects both large and small.

With my History background in academia, and my Martial Arts background as well, I have a diverse range of life experience to bring to a character, a narration or a public service announcement.
