Voice Description
As a teenager Sean Hamilton always dreamed about becoming a radio personality, and his dream started when he constructed an illegal pirate radio station in the basement of his parent's home. When his pirate radio station was pulled off the air by the FCC, he immediately landed his first job in commercial radio in his home town of Reno, Nevada.
Sean "Hollywood" Hamilton's popularity rose quickly and his innovative style generated attention within the radio industry. He felt, "the early success of my career was based on working the phones and being able to talk with people on the air naturally."
Sean incorporated his philosophy and delivered the #1 rated nighttime radio show at the age of just seventeen at Z-100 in New York from 1983-1987.
In 1983, Sean created the enormously popular radio show "Lovelines." It became a huge hit in New York City, and today it's evolved into a 15 year syndicated radio success.
Sean then took his high-energy radio show to Los Angeles and became the night jock at KIIS FM from 1987-1994.
In 1998, KTU Radio convinced one of radio's most successful young hosts to relocate back to New York and work his "magic" on its evening slot. The chemistry between "Hollywood" and Goumba Johnny (comedy sidekick/ comedy writer) was combustible! The hip, funny and frenetic tag team earned top ratings consistently for two years in a row. And to this day, still hold the record for the highest rating for evening 25-54 share.
Sean "Hollywood" Hamilton was awarded KTU's top morning time slot due to the incredible success of his evening show and there is where his morning career began.
Also in 1998, Hollywood Hamilton's Rhythm Countdown was established nationally and internationally in conjunction with the AM/FM Radio Network. In one year, the show became the fasted growing syndicated program in America, and was nominated for "nationally syndicated radio show of the year" in 2000 by Radio & Records.
In December 2000, Sean created Hollywood Hamilton's Weekend Top 30, a three-hour radio program showcasing the week's hottest rhythm music and interviews.
In March of 2001, Hollywood Hamilton's Weekend Top 30 Mainstream/ Pop Version was launched. In 2003, The Crystal Media Network began syndicating both versions of Hollywood Hamilton Weekend Top 30.
Hollywood Hamilton's Weekend Top 30 is now listened to by approximately 2.5 million people, delivering the 30 biggest hits of the week, in-studio and backstage interviews, listener interaction, contests and more.
Sean currently resides in Jersey City in New Jersey. His hobbies include race car driving in the Skip Barber formula series, boating, snow skiing and motor cross racing.
