Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
My voice has ranges, but I primarily have a "sports commentator-type" voice. I'm a big sports guy. However, I can also do a smooth and professional voice for presentations, a country accent for funny bits, excited and eccentric for fun commercials, and even a serious/concerned voice for disease/accident PSA's.
My Voice Experience
I have worked for a few Clear Channel radio stations, and primarily produced and operated the board for sporting events, remote broadcasts, and talk shows. I recorded using adobe audition, and we also used Nex-Gen in order to play our promos, PSA's, music beds, and liners. I went on air for half-time updates, and communicate with the play-by-play personalities during the event. I had access to the studio to work on demos and such, which is where I produced my voice over demo.
I know that I can be successful at this because my personality corresponds, and I'm already working in the radio industry and learning more everyday. I'm extremely dedicated and will not rest until a project is finished.
My Training
I have a BA in Communications from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ, and a broadcasting certification from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting which I attended in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ.
My Studio Equipment
Microphone, headphones, switch-board, Adobe Audition, Nex-Gen (includes songs, sound effects, music beds), phone line connection, computer connection, soundproof walls, stop-watch timer.
Additional Skills
I am a big sports guy so I have knowledge in that area, and I'm also big on movie lines. I can sing pretty well (as I was told when I lost a bet and was forced to sing at my friend's wedding), and I have an extremely humorous side to me that can certainly translate to performing voice over projects. I also worked in customer service for years, so I'm very familiar with angry clients calling in on a daily basis.
