Voice Description
As a voice talent my voice could be termed a medium timber, warm and friendly with a nice even delivery. I can be authoritative if called for, and can get deep and powerful (think Monster Trucks!!!). My accent is fairly neutral, but I can do southern or northern if needed. I have an array of character voices, mostly cartoon style, although I can do a credible Kermit the Frog and Alec Guiness ("These are not the droids you're looking for"). I can make 'em laugh, I can' make 'em cry, I can make 'em buy! I can make 'em listen.

My Voice Experience
It all started at a 5000 watt radio station in Monroe, Georgia, way back in the heady days of the early 70s. I had always been blessed with the talent to read well, with feeling and inflection, and decided to try my hand in the world of radio. That eventually led to a twelve year gig at WVEE/WPLO in Atlanta, where I moved into production. I've been doing freelance voice over since that time.
Over the years I've done it all: radio commercials, audio and video narration, announcing, phone message on-hold. The list includes Home Depot, The Coca-Cola Company, GTE, Bell South, Snapper, Mayfield Dairies, Aaron Rents, Redbook Florist, Orkin, NAPA, Kawasaki, Georgia Power, Georgia Tech, Macon Iron, National Christian Foundation, ASHRAE, John Wieland Homes, and tons of Atlanta companies. I was the voice of Dixie Speedway (a local dirt track) for over a dozen years, and currently am the announcer for O'Neill Outside, a nationally syndicated huntin' and fishin' show. Phone on hold message experience includes several companies, such as GTE and Videolarm.
My Training
I attended Columbia School of Broadcasting in the early 70s to hone my skills with radio voices. Though I have no "formal" education, I've been working in the voiceover business for over thirty years on both sides of the microphone, as talent and producer. This allows me to bring a balanced view of the final product, with an ear tuned to how client and talent feel.

Additional Skills
In addition to my voice talent I am also a writer. As with voice over, I've had over thirty years of experience writing commercials, video voiceover scripts, audio scripts, radio scripts, brochures, catalogs, print ads, newletters, and various other marketing materials. My skills as a writer, as with my production skills, add another dimension to my abilities.
