Voice Description

My voice can be warm and resonant for narrations, energetic and fun for commercials, smooth and articulate for professionals or wild and wacky for video games or animation. I speak North American or British English and besides the Standard British accent, I can do Jewish-Ukranian, Midlands, Yorkshire, Irish, Cockney, Midwestern American, Southern American and Mid-Atlantic accents as well. When doing narration or professional presentations, I can use lots of chest resonance for lower, thicker tones mixed with a more forward placement for articulation to enhance the credibility of the presentation. For commercials, I would pick up the rate and use more mask resonators to enhance the excitement of the product or pitch. When it comes to video games or animation, I mix different rates with a variety of resonators until I feel the rhthym of the character, then I can add vocal nuances such as elongated vowels or clipped consonants to give the character more depth and uniqueness.

My Voice Experience

I graduated from UCLA with a Master of Fine Arts in Acting and I've been training actors in Voice and Speech for the last 8 years. I'm currently a candidate for Master Teacher in the Linklater Technique and have trained with Louis Colianni for years. I've read for the blind and done voice over work for the stage.

My Training

Most of my training is listed under the experience section; however, I also give workshops and teach classes in voice and delivery for actors and non-actors alike. I'm also a communications teacher in speech and I direct live theatre around town.
