My Voice Experience
If you were to ask my Mother she would say my voice over career began as soon as I could speak clearly enough to memorize and recite every radio and T.V. commercial I heard seeping from the speaker of the old Curtis Mathis. By the age of 8 parties at our house were like watching a show that was essentially one long commercial break. In 1985 my Father, always the "get rich quick" guy created a concept he called Pump Vision, wherein patrons of the local convenience store could see ads at the pump via a betamax loop. High Tech. My Father asked me to be the young voice of the commercials for the video loop and thus my voice over career was launched. At the age of 18 I began lending my voice to local radio ads in my little area, which led to my first on-air job doing overnights for 3 bucks an hour. For the next 20 years I would split my time between radio stations in Missouri, Florida, Oklahoma and Texas with dreams of being a rock star scattered in between. In 1998 I decided to devote all of my time and energy toward radio and T.V. and especially my first loves production and voice work. Since 1990 I have voiced well over 3000 ads for radio, T.V. and public broadcast.
