Voice Description
My voice is definitely on the low side. I'm compared to James Earl Jones and take it as a big complement. I have worked in all formats of radio from Country to Rap so I able to "match the surface" so to speak and have done stage and sports arena announcing too so I can be high energy.
When asking anyone (but myself) to describe my voice: Malleable, velvety and thick.
Sexy and a story teller. Good imagery.

My Voice Experience
I've recorded everything from telephone message systems to concert commercials for radio station promotions. Country, R & B, Rap and Smooth Jazz cover my musical resume I have hosted and broadcast sports shows and events.
One of my most memorable VO's was during a 4th of july Orchestra performance where I was chosen to read an excerpt from President Abraham Lincoln's' address denouncing slavery and pressing for equality. It brought a standing ovation before the fireworks!
I have been selected to announce graduating classes and new enshrinees to the NBA's Hall of Fame.
It's funny. I've had strangers interrupt 3rd party conversations to tell me "I Love your voice" as many men as women. Knowing how my voice works, the acoustics in a crowded elevator is always a good time to test reaction by simply asking...what floors please.
I am the favorite of my kids sports teams, especially on road trips, because I can out cheer 15 home teams parents : )
My Training
My voice is God given. It has, with good reading skills, allowed me to work for radio powers like Clear Channel and TV networks like CBS and PBS. For over 30 years this has been my bread and butter.
My Studio Equipment
I work with a Power MAC Computer primarily. Since I produce a lot of sports video in my home town I am fluid with Final Cut Pro and use Garageband and Cool Edit to produce my audio and vocal tracks.
I am a die hard fan of Mackii mixing boards and my MIC of choice is the Audio Technica AT4033a with shock mount and wind screen.
