My Voice Experience

Sports, Weather, and News is how I cut my teeth in voice over work. I have five years experience at several Midwestern radio stations, from news-talk (AM 1300 WBOW - Terre Haute, IN) and local affiliate of national sports (AM 1130/AM 1300 WSJX/WBOW Terre Haute, IN) to Top 40 contemporary.

I was the News Director of a top 100 market (Crossroads Communications of Terre Haute, IN) responsible for daily hourly news reports. I, also produced and provided voice over work for local commercials. I also had the opportunity to be a co-host of a weekly sports wrap-up show and regularly contributed to a daily local sports talk show.

I also have three years experience of doing color commentating on local high school sports broadcasts. My breakdown of the man-to-man zone isn't the greatest but I regularly received nods to my voice quality.

I've also been priveliged to do a small stint at a Christian radio network (KIAM) in Alaska where I was responsible for a twice daily 20 minute live broadcast, daily weather reports, and recorded public service announcement voice overs.

Additional Skills

I, also, have 10 years of teaching experience where a clear commanding voice is necessary at times. Having fun in the classroom is also necessary where I was able to use a wide variety of silly voices and use my acting abilities to convey information to students or to simply entertain them.

And the piece-de-resistance (the only french I know)
I have done stand-up comedy....the jokes weren't all that funny but the people heard and understood me (maybe that was the problem)
