Two years ago I did the voice over for Taco Bell's XXL Chalupa. I also did the famous tag line: Think outside the bun. It was pretty great since I booked that commercial without an agent. I took a class from Huck over at Voicecasters and he called me in for an audition. Turned out to be 2 commercials a 15sec and a 30sec. I should have struck while the iron was hot, but I was working full time as a teacher. Now I am substitute teaching and I have plenty of time to audition. I am looking for an agent that can get me commercial auditions on a somewhat regular basis. I know that with my acting experience and my voice, I can make a lot of money. The only thing stopping me now is opportunity. The type of opportunity that only a good agent can provide.
I have trained as an actor at The North Carolina School of the Arts, as well as The American Academy of Dramatic Arts where we had several voice classes taught by esteemed colleagues. I took some time off and started teaching, but now I am eager to get back into the performing arts as a voice over artist. I took a class with Huck at voicecasters and from that class I have already booked Two National Taco Bell Commercial voice overs. It was an amazing experience, and I know that if I can book a national commercial or two on my own without even having a vo demo reel yet, then I know that with the right representation I will be able to do that a lot more often. I have the skill and the drive to be a great success in the voice over world.
I have easy access to a studio at voicecasters for auditions. My neighbor is also a good friend and he has a huge recording studio in his apartment. If worst came to worst, I could always use the voice recorder on my iphone and send it that way, if you need to hear anything on the fly
I can do impressions that are pretty spot on. So if you need a Bill Cosby, or a Will Ferrell doing Harey Carey, or any of the family guy and some of the southpark and simpson voices, then I am your man
