My Voice Experience
I attended the American Broadcasting School, and graduated in 2003. I subsequently worked for 2 radio stations, over the course of 6 years.
My voice-quality, and commitment to honing my craft was what struck many, early-on.
From the beginning, I had begun to hone my voice to meld it into the most appealing and versatile voice which would appeal to multiple listeners. I developed an astute 'ear' for quality, and my subsequent voice/production skills impressed the management, who subsequently appointed me to organize a band of broadcasters, and subsequently assisted in sponsorship acquisition. Leading the pack of my broadcast pupils, I kick-started several shows, by developing programs, and providing custom "intros" and "outtros" for each broadcaster's show (many of which still air to this day)!
2 years after my initial start in radio, a collaboration was in place to make me the 'first' DJ for the newly launched JACK FM. However, before the deal was clenched, a better offer had come in. I was offered a full time position as the premiere production manager for the a large radio network. I was specifically put in charge of developing and overseeing production for 3 FM stations, and 1 AM station for that network's midwest region of the United States. I also went on the air, and delivered live weather forecasts throughout the day, and I was also the 'voice' of our station's "Weatherline".
While overseeing the quality of all productions, I also managed 9 other DJ's, and coached them, when needed. It was also my job to 'sit-in' on client recording(s), and coach them (ie: microphone placement, 'voice-projection', and kept an eye on their corresponding audio levels, as they were being recorded into our system. After several "read-throughs", usually, within 3 "takes", I could "hear" what I wanted, and I would get busy "patching" the commercial together, extracting the 'best' sounding words from their recording, and molding it all together into the final product.
I would choose appropriate music-beds (to put behind the voice(s)), and also incorporate sound-effects (if needed).
I could usually have a production finished within a matter of 1 to 3 hours (but up to 24), depending on my production-load, and how 'specialized' the production-request was.
After capping-off 6 years radio & production experience in Oklahoma, I've returned to my roots on California's Central Coast, and to this day, I still travel frequently between California and Oklahoma.
Although I'm global, this does not affect production. A highly maintained network ensures that I have studio access in both states, and most productions can be emailed (via MP3) or shipped.
When it comes to voice-over work, and/or developing your production, your needs are of the utmost importance to me. I am committed to listening to your needs, and listening to what it is you'd like to convey, and doing my best to incorporate my skills to deliver you the best possible recording.
And if you need more? I have strategy and promotional skills as well. I would be happy to review your material to see what you have (or what you might be missing), so we can begin formulating a strategy and subsequent production plan.
I am committed to meeting your voice-over and production needs, and I aim to earn your trust and deliver you the best service, and production in the industry.

Additional Skills
Do you have a pre-existing spot that needs fixing? With production, I am capable of "fixing" flaws and blemishes within productions, provided that it is the raw voice audio, with no music-bed. I can also remove too many "ands", "buts", or coughs, etc. In most cases, I can also extract 1 word out of a 2-3 word conglomeration. (For instance, if someone starts a sentence with "Uh...", or "Well...", and it blends in with the next word, I can usually shave that off, and smooth-out the beginning word, to make it sound natural, and seamless.) If a commercial is too long, or too short, I can also "tighten-up" a commercial, or speed it up slightly (without making it sound 'chip-munky'). Conversely, I can also slow down a spot, if needed. If copy needs to be cut from a spot (for instance, if a spot needs to be exactly :30, or exactly :60 seconds), I will consult with client, and if left to me, I will use my best judgment in discarding unnecessary 'fluff' from a spot, while still keeping most pertinent and important information intact. I can also loop music beds, add sound effects, and make someone's voice sound as if they're in any setting (from 'music halls', to 'auditoriums', or even make them sound like they're in a closet!) The possibilities are endless, and I'd be happy to make you a happy customer.
