When I was ten-years-old, I was on a shopping trip to Bartell Drugs with my Mom. She asked me to go get some Windex, while she decided which brand of scrub sponges to buy. I was a precocious lil' tot so I walked directly up to an associate, cleared my throat, and politely asked about cleaning supplies. I expected a simple "Aisle 4" or a finger point at the least, but instead, the woman turned slowly looked down at all 4' 6" of me dumbfounded and said... "You have a voice like... sour WHISKY." And thus.. a life-long insecurity about being a tiny girl with a big weird voice was born.
Fifteen years later, I booked my first voiceover job, a radio spot for Alltel Wireless. It's been great to finally be able to say "YES!" when people ask me, inevitably if I do voic-over.... people have been telling me to get into it since Sisqo was on the radio. I guess it's pretty unique to have a raspy voice when you're pre-pubescent, but as an adult, it was still getting attention, often unprompted and sometimes unwelcome. So I'm thrilled to finally be putting this baby to work. It's been an awesome journey.
I love voice-over. My bookings so far have been exclusively commercials, animation, and e-courses, though I audition often for video-games and am very interested in doing voice-over for promos and documentaries as well. I've trained with Marc Graue in Burbank and I'm represented with Agency SGH in Hollywood. I have a studio in my home where I can record audition-quality mp3s (not studio-quality yet, but I'm working on it!). I've been acting professionally in LA since 2007.
