I can sound young, old, or in-between. My specialty is in doing characters; mainly southern accents, elderly characters, and "quirky" character voices. I can do a very good Cockney accent, as well as an Indian accent. My Voice Experience
I have been acting off and on since high school. I have done many plays over the years; including supporting chorus and dance roles. I was a soprano in "Handel's Messiah." I was also a member of a seven-woman Spanish singing group for two years. I have played Estella in "Great Expectations." I have done narratives as well. While living in Orlando, I did commercials and a TV pilot. I have experience with corporate voice messaging system recordings. I will be appearing in an upcoming episode of "America's Most Wanted." Most recently I voiced an 8-year-old Egyptian boy! I am currently employed by the University of North Florida as a part-time reader for blind students; I read and record their textbooks on audiotape.
My Training
In high school I studied Speech & Drama, participating in two school plays. In college I studied Theater & Fine Art for one year at the University of Kentucky, and also took History of Costume and Art History courses. In Orlando in 1990 and 1991 I studied acting. I also studied acting for a semester in San Antonio in 2000. I took a voiceover workshop in 2000 also in San Antonio, and have taken several voiceover workshops here in Jacksonville in the past 2 1/2 years. I completed my professional demo tape (which may be listened to on this site)early in 2005.
