My voice: On Air Jazz radio announcer meets a younger, more hip audience. Calm and laid-back, strong and frank, my voice provides a non-superficial upbeat and straight-forward female sound that stops listeners in their tracks. I never slip up with 'um's or 'like's and keep the flow of the sentence and its point going. When reading from a script I am clear and smooth; when announcing on the air nothing is set in stone. Equipped with stream-of-consciousness thought and a strange outlook on the world, I can appropriately dramatize or under-dramatize anything at the drop of a hat, all depending upon what sort of message I'm trying to get across. I've been told that my voice lacks a strong accent of any kind. I'm clear, crisp, and can enunciate my words.

My Voice Experience

As a radio station jockey for three years and General Manager of my college radio station for one year, I have done voice over work for PSAs On Air and read the news and weather, often with no rehersal or even a prior glance to what I am about to read. I can read in different styles and accents but they tend to be outlandish and sort of quirky. But as Station Manager I deal with many sorts of people from all walks of life, so I have the ability to adapt and cater myself to the sort of audience that I want to reach.
