Voice Description
On Air Jazz radio announcer meets a younger, more hip audience. Calm and laid-back, strong and frank, my voice provides a non-superficial upbeat and straight-forward female sound that stops listeners in their tracks. I never slip up with 'um's or 'like's and keep the flow of the sentence and its point going. When reading from a script I am clear and smooth; when announcing on the air nothing is set in stone.
I am a strong reader, without sounding like I'm reading from a script (don't you just hate that?!). I read well, with vigor, and cater to the audience/script well because I understand the language. As of May 2009 I will have a M.S. Publishing degree, with an emphasis in editing.
Equipped with stream-of-consciousness thought and a strange outlook on the world, I can appropriately dramatize or under-dramatize anything at the drop of a hat, all depending upon what sort of message I am to get across. I've been told that my voice lacks a strong accent of any kind, with a hint of Midwestern (I've never visited the Midwest US.).
My voice is clear and crisp, and I can enunciate.
