My Voice Experience
I have been a performer since 6th grade, doing theatre, musicals (only when they were comedies...not a singer!!) and reading school texts to tape for students who were poor readers, so they could follow along in class.
I've been in radio since 1977 and have not only been on-air but also a writer, voice and producer of radio commercials for much of that time. I've worked at such stations as WRKO, Boston, WRQX, WAVA and WMZQ in Washington DC and WPCH/WLTM and WYAY in Atlanta. My focus is now on voicework and I look forward to taking on a project for you.
My Training
OJT is the name of the game for me. With all but the first two years of my radio career being in major markets, I have learned from the best.
My Studio Equipment
Laptop loaded with Cool Edit Pro and a good mic. Have been doing audio books with this setup, and it works well for commercial and creative work as well. Cool Edit allows for multi-tracking with bounce mixdown and great flexibility in mp3 audio saves.
Additional Skills
If I take on your job, you give me the deadline and I'll meet it. If there are problems, we'll resolve them. My experience not just with the creative side of radio, but in management as well, has given me problem-solving skills and dispute-resolving skills not often seen in a creative business.
