I work as a telephone operator for yellow cab in Memphis and am always told I have a lovely speaking voice. I do not do accents (at least it is something I have never tried) - or characters. I am English and have a clear speaking voice. I can be warm and deep (some say sexy) but can also be authoritative and professional.
