Voice Description

Being an all-round actor, I can also adapt my voice to the job necessary, although naturally I have a quite 'energetic' voice.

I can make my voice sound warm, smooth, rough, teen-like, adult-like, goofy, demonic, very articulated, or very slurred.

Dutch is my native language, but my American English is very fluent and you won't hear my European roots.

I can modify my American English to make it sound slightly more redneck, 'surfer-dude' or 'gangsta' (and other types of accents) if necessary.

I can also talk English with a Mexican-accent and with a Spanish-European accent, similar to Antonio Banderas, for instance.

Furthermore, I can also do a British-accent. Thick, if needed, for extra comedic or cartoony effect.

And finally, I can also speak Spanish fluently, whether it's 'normal' Castellano or with a southern accent. (The kind you hear in cities like Seville.)

My Voice Experience

Even as a kid, I wanted to stand out and express myself, and what better way to express myself but vocally?

It took me a few years to discover and appreciate singing & acting, but 'doing voices' was something I've always loved to do. Even as a toddler I loved just experimenting with the pitch, feel and shape of my voice, while impersonating the voices of all my (cartoon) heroes.

This obsession helped me a lot to further deepen my pop, rock and metal-singing as well as my acting, but eventually I came to appreciate it for the art that it is.

Self-taught, I always strive to find more ways to improve my voice.

So far, I have done assignements for Dutch students and gaming-websites.

My Training

Besides being a writer and an actor, I am also the singer of the hard rock/heavy metal band TAURUS. I am capable of doing very high-pitched screams, similar to Rob Halford from Judas Priest.
