My Voice Experience
I recorded my first voice over for film in 1982, when I dubbed a line of dialogue on the soundstripe of my Super-8 sci-fi film "Deathquest": "You who has found this sword has the pity of the gods, for you shall never be free of it unless you can slay the Beast of a Thousand Fangs..." you get the idea. I also wrote the copy. Since then I have worked almost exclusively on my own projects, though I was involved in the recording end of the animation business in the mid-'90s when I was a production Manager on shows like "The Tick". I would book the talent and run the recording sessions for the producers and voice director, handling all SAG paperwork and such. It gave me hands on experience and I got to meet a lot of fun actors.
