Voice Description

As I have been doing many amatuer Voice recordings, mainly for fun. I have become more understanding of my own voice and how I can control it. I can do a deep set woman, for a more mature angle, a sultry sound for a sexier older woman, add a little bounce to my normal voice and you have a younger teen, add a higher pitch and a certain feel that I can only feel myself and you have a young girl. I can even do an old woman! I can pull off a young boy, but have yet to practice getting myself to that point, having mainly focused on my girl voices.

My Voice Experience

I have been in many plays including "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown", "Once on this Island", "Once upon a matress" (Queen Aggravain), "A Fiddler on the Roof jr.", "King and I". As you will notice that all of those are Musicals, so I learned to sing loud, and I learned to sing well, as well with proper diction. I also played in "Odd Couple" and all plays involve talking and using your voice ALOT. I was in the Top Notch honor Choir at my high school until graduation, even after gradutaion I keep myself relatively busy with singing and small plays at my church. I attended the Thespian Competition in Daytona, recieved a good in group skits, and an excellent in group musical, and was able to go on to Thespian State Festival in 2006. I learned many techniques and have evolved passed just speaking "loud".

My Training

Every thing above states all of my training. Six years of acting, three years of advance singing, and StateThespian workshops. no actual physical classes taken, or degrees to show for it. Just a constant never ending love and interest for it, keeps me on my toes with practicing.

Additional Skills

As I have stated, along with acting and talking with true feel, I can also sing. My specialty is First Saprano. I on a daily basis use my singing, and I also train my voice everyday when I am able to. When I worked for McDonalds a few years ago, I would speak differently through the intercom in drive-thru (minus getting a laugh from it), it also gave me more motivation to get that accent of speaking part down so I wasn't given away to be faking it.
