Voice Description

You will hear a voice that has a natural style that is dynamic and articulate. My delivery style is cheerful, corporate, and expressive. My pacing is normal, not to fast or slow. Sounding like the mom next door, a best friend, or a storyteller comes naturally to me. Directors will respect me because I take directions well and am able to apply it to my reads. You will also hear natural acting abilities, there is variety in my reads, I use body language well, and have good cold reading skills.

My Voice Experience

Reading sections of newspapers & magazines for blind and visually impaired individuals is where I got my start. Then, I became an on-air reader for Radio Reading Services and had a dedicated section of the local newspaper to read. My intention was to bring the text alive with a dynamic read and with vivid descriptions. The commercial & narrative scripts that I’ve read were intended to describe, entertain, excite to action, motivate, persuade and inform.

My Studio Equipment

Audition quality home based studio equipped with an Apple IMAC, Pro-Tools with M-Box Mini, and an ADK S-51 Cardioid Condenser microphone. I can deliver work in the following formats AIFF, SDII, WAV, MP3 and CD with overnight delivery.
I have access to a local professional studio which has Pro-Tools, ISDN. They can deliver edited and finished voice tracks, with music or FX, in any format or delivery method

Additional Skills

Please note I was English as a Second Language instructor. Proper pronunciation and enunciation were an important part of the classroom instruction. As a customer service representative I engaged in active listening, complaint resolutions, completing transactions and doing so in an efficient manner. I worked at a local off Broadway Performing Arts Theater and had the opportunity to perform in group skits during Volunteer Recognition week.
