My Voice Experience
I have taken voice over classes and Kalmenson & Kalmenson in Burbank, CA. These classes were mainly focused on Commercial voice over and I learned all about different types of copy, working with partners and different directors and engineers. This was 12 weeks of work, which really opened me up to voice over, helped me find my signature and how to approach all situations from auditions to jobs in a professional and fun manner.
I have a regular gig of recording adds for new releases on an internet radio podcast. These recordings are done exclusively from my own home, so I have experience both within studios and within my own home for recording and emailing the result.
My Training
I am a graduate form the School of Theatre at the University of Southern California (with Honors).
I have knowledge in and am a regular user of computer programs such as Acid Pro, Soundforge and Reason which are used for musical production as well as voice recording.
Please see above for voice over specific classes I have taken with Kalmenson & Kalmenson in Burbank, CA. The studios that the classes were taught in are the same studios used for auditions and casting and we worked with many professionals other than our teacher so I listed it under both experience and education.
My Studio Equipment
I have my own computer recording equipment and microphone. It is nothing a pure professional would use (a Blue Snowball USB mic), but it works well for what I am currently using it for. I make regular recording for friskyRadio and send the clips via email and the quality is great for that.
Again the software I use regularly is soundforge, Acid Pro, and Reason.
Additional Skills
I have over 8 years of Improvisation experience from 4 different Improv troupes. As many aspiring actors in Los Angeles I wait tables so I have very good people skills and am very natural in conversation with anyone I work with as well as customers.
