Voice Description

My voice has been described by many people as being a great "Sales Voice". Smooth, commanding but yet empathetic. Many women have commented on me having a "Sexy" voice. I would consider the overall sound of my voice to be Mid to low in the tonal range. I wouldn't consider the voice over work I have done to be deep in tone, however I can speak fairly deeply when need be.

My Voice Experience

I have worked as a professional musician, singing, MCing thousands of weddings, working in recording studios as an engineer and producer helping other talents perfect their voices.
I now run a Pro Tools home studio and have voiced and recorded a number of my own projects.
Notably a series of Hypnosis CDs and a Wedding Demo for brides.

My Training

I grew up in a household supported by entertainment. I naturally gravitated in the direction of being a musician/entertainer. I always worked on "Sounding like the guys on the radio". Whether it was the DJ or the person doing the copy on the commercials. I started DJing on the radio at the age of 14 (1977) and spent the next 6 years honing a radio voice and doing voiceover work for radio public service announcements (since it was school radio).
At the same time I was learning from a full time radio personality at WVBF in Boston. I would go out on the road to spin records and help in the station at night.

Additional Skills

Being in the music and entertainment business for over 25 years has allowed me to grow and become vesatile in my abilities.
My knowledge of the recording and producing process has made me a perfectionist and doesn't allow me to put out poor quality work.
Working in recording studios and helping advise others, during the recording process of their voice over, has helped me tremendously!
After recording other people, you become aware of when you make mistakes or pop a word or smack your lips.
