Voice Description

I have a deep female voice that has a soft, gentle quality. I do conversational and narrative reads very well. I can do straight reads, medium or soft sell, sultry, flat or monotone and am working at developing some character reads.
I am best at creating short descriptive clips.

My voice has been described as gentle, deep, thoughtful, charming, refreshing, authoritative, pleasant, educational and flexible. I grew up in the US Midwest, and naturally have that desirable accent. I've lived in many parts of the US and can incorporate this experience into my voice overs.

My Voice Experience

I am a newbie at doing voice-overs. I began by recording audio clips for my own eBay auctions. I've had many compliments from buyers and viewers that they've enjoyed my voice quality. I continue to do audio clips for my eBay auctions.

I'm a member of the Peninsula Players (Long Beach Peninsula, WA state) and have both acted and served as prop and back-stage manager. I've held lead roles in plays for Peninsula Players.

My Training

I have to admit that I have no formal training specifically on doing voice overs. I started doing web clips for my eBay auctions and am experiencing a higher sales rate and generally complimentary comments from my customers.

I've been taking voice lessons to improve my singing voice. My voice teacher loves my speaking voice and says that I'm a natural talent. She describes my singing voice range as contralto. I can include singing in your clip.

My Studio Equipment

I use Audacity and a digital microphone on my computer to record clips.

Additional Skills

I'd be happy to record for your website audio clips or podcast. I'm a retired educator and have been recorded via video and audio as a part of my previous career.
