Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I have done character voices for student films and projects, in which I was doing an out-of-breath heavy petting voice and in another project I did a Bronx accent. I am a good mimic and can reproduce just about any accent, dialect, or even tone of voice, I hear. Some I have perfected are the U.S. southern belle (or Texas twang), the New Yorker, the U.S. midwest, the British (from high end to cockney types), Scottish, Irish, Australian, and Eastern European. I can do the Spanish trilled "r" sound and the European uvular "r" sound in addition of course to the impeccably standard American English sounds I speak every day. I can impersonate many, from Jodie Foster to Rachel Ray to Ira Glass.

My Voice Experience

My experience is somewhat limited having only done voice over for student films and projects. In one project I was the voice of a pair of hoochie-mama Siamese twin sock puppets from the Bronx in a Jerry Springer style talk show. I was also the V.O. in a romantic movie playing in the background of a student movie ( a character in the film was at the movies and I was the voice on the screen). I also did the voice over for a student public service announcement for the American Cancer Society's Quit Smoking hotline. All of these student projects were done at Texas State University in San Marcos and Austin Community College between the years 2004 and 2006.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics and enough coursework in Speech Language Pathology to qualify for a Graduate Program in Speech Language Pathology.
