My Voice Experience
Ronnie Lane
On Air Personality
In the spring of 2005, Ronnie "Night Train" Lane joined MLB Home Plate - XM 175 to host MLB Live.
In 1980 Lane began his broadcasting career as morning show host of an album-oriented rock station in Evansville, Indiana. During his five-year stint there, he served as both morning and afternoon drive show host and assumed middle management positions as music director and program director.
Then in 1985 Lane took his talents to Tampa, Florida, to work as night personality for one of the country's legendary Top 40 stations, Q105, where he was night host, afternoon show host, music director, and finally program director. He survived three ownership changes and several format changes while becoming one of Tampa Bay's most popular radio personalities.
When Lane decided to pursue his dream of becoming an on-air sports personality, he accepted the position of assistant program director and co-host of a popular afternoon sports talk program on ESPN Sportsradio 1010 in Tampa in 2001, where he covered the sidelines and locker room for the Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccanneers.
