My Voice Experience

I began a "voice" career in radio as a teenager in the mid-50's doing character voices which led to my first real
radio job. I spent many years as an on-air talent(disc
jockey, news, comm'l prod.) and moved into broadcast sales
and mgmt, but continued to do commercial voice work for
which I won numerous state/local awards in various AD Club
competitions. I became general manager of several radio
properties over the years, and again always did some voice
work wherever I worked. I held my last management position for 18 plus years, retiring when property was sold. Since
that time I've done basketball play-by-play and several
narrations for home based businesses plus hosting national
teleconferences for a humanitarian organization every week.
I voiced a television documentary on wild horses(in character voice of old cowboy)in the mid 70's that appeared
on several televsion stations and public tv outlets.

My Training

Attended Univ. of MT School of Journalism(minor in drama),graduate Northwest Schools of Broadcasting-Portland,
OR, numerous RAB/NAB and local and state seminars. Appeared in the following motion pictures: "Far and Away",
"Josh and S.A.M.", "Love Comes to the Executioner". Have
attended classes in auditioning for movies/television,

My Studio Equipment

Just building my studio....using an HP Pavlion computer with a Presonus "Firebox", MXL 990 Mic, ART Tube MP Studio, Radix TLM 500(telephone line amp/mixer which I
have used to record for a studio in Baltimore, MD), a
Thompson VE-4 and both Cubase LE and Audacity software.
I will be purchasing a Sennheiser MD421II Mic in the near
future. Using M-Audio DX4 monitors and Audio Technica
headphones.

Additional Skills

I am easy to work with, can take direction, no ego problems. The client is the boss. Always willing to learn
something new. My background in broadcasting provided me
with a great deal of knowledge that can be applied to doing
voiceover work.
