Voice Description

I’ve learned that, with changes in speed, pitch, timbre, the amount of breath used, and the enunciation of certain words I could create an entirely different persona, depending on the character and the situation. I can be gentle, convincing, or commanding. I can be personal and homey, or I can be erudite and impersonal – or anything in between. I can even be an old man or a young adult, and the exciting thing is, with each project, I learn something new.

My Voice Experience

The power of the human voice is something I learned early in life. In a family of singers, I grew up seeing, hearing, and experiencing how a voice can affect the emotions, intellect, and demeanor of others. As a youth, I narrated some simple commercials for a local radio station, acted in school plays, and, of course, sang.

My voice served me well as a teacher, a customer service manager, a public speaker, a trainer, and a seminar presenter. And for many years, others would approach me and say, “You have such a marvelous voice – you should consider doing voiceover work.” It was something I carried in the back of my mind for a very long time, until I thought to myself – why not? So here I am.

You’ll find that my life experiences, my skills, and my coachability, along with my tenacity and easygoing manner makes it easy for you to direct me towards your desired end result. Whether your project is a commercial, documentary, public service announcement, narration, or audio book, I think you’ll be pleased to find that I am, indeed, the voice you need, when you need it.

My Training

As a trained educator and a seasoned performer (both vocal and instrumental music), I have a lifetime's worth of experiences which have prepared me for a career in the voiceover industry. I am a graduate of the Voices for All Master Class.
