Talent is a great thing to have, but talent coupled with the right kind of experience is invaluable. Having been on both sides of the glass and knowing it's like to wear YOUR hat helps me deliver the read you need with less back-and-forth with the temperamental actor. Yes, I am an actor, and I can even be temperamental. But you'll never know it. The whirlwind tour: A mis-spent youth in the 80's as a Radio/TV/Film major - Worked in advertising, started an agency that became a busy little multimedia production powerhouse that rode the coat-tails of the dot.com boom in Silicon Valley. I hardly remember the 90's we were so busy. Thousands of clients and bajillions of projects later, I know what producers need, and it's not always the same tricks that worked last time. So I train with the best of the best to make sure I can find new ways to stay sharp and deliver the goods quickly. Since the first step to a great recording is the environment in which it is made, much care and expense has gone into my custom-built iso-room. Unlike most home studios, I never need to stop for barking-dogs, leaf-blowers or aircraft overhead - it's more quiet than some pro studio's I've tracked in, and the room itself has been custom treated to be transparent without being "dead" like so many small-box booths. I have a variety of modern and vintage mics and preamps if you want to get geeky about the sound, but whatever I use for a project, the signal chain from mic to monitor is top-notch, well-maintained, and pristine sounding. Compress all you want - these tracks are CLEAN. Clients and producers are welcome to visit or sit-in on recording sessions via high-quality phone patch or Skype - both capable of sending mic and DAW feeds for your review.
